Why Is Broccoli Good for Pets?
Broccoli delivers vitamin C and K for collagen and clotting, plus sulforaphane (potent antioxidant) to combat inflammation, support liver detox, and potentially reduce cancer risk per veterinary nutrition research. High fiber aids regularity but can cause gas if overfed. Use florets only (stems fibrous), steam lightly for digestibility, limit to 1-2 small florets (10% of meal) 2x weekly to sidestep thyroid goitrogens in raw form. Excellent for dogs, rabbits, pet birds; avoid in hyperthyroid pets.
